Catwalk Trails

Catwalk Trails is a Catwalk inspired initiative, a series of permanent 7km walking trails to be situated in global locations with links to Big Cats, raising awareness about Big Cat conservation and our communal interconnected wellbeing.

In 2023 the inaugural Catwalk Trail was launched by our partners the Royal Commission for AlUla. Drawing attention to the Arabian Leopard, the Arabian Leopard Celebration Trail is situated in AlUla’s Sharaan Nature Reserve, a terrain where Arabian Leopards were once abundant.

The Sharaan Nature Reserve is a 1,500km2 area of protected land, home to a vast array of landscapes, from unique rock formations to sandy desert, and a diverse range of wildlife. It is hoped that, one day soon, Arabian Leopards will once again be reintroduced to the wild here.

To ensure learning and awareness-raising, the Trail’s opening was commemorated with a guide book about the nature and wildlife that exists in the natural habitat of the Arabian Leopard.
